Sports photography is one of my favorite photography genre. Having experienced the 27th SEA Games in Myanmar & the 28th SEA Games which was held in Singapore, I am definitely looking forward to the 29th Sea Games which will be held in Malaysia even though it is still more than a month away. This games is also known as the Kuala Lumpur 2017 29th SEA Games.
There will be 11 nations participating and a total of 38 sports to be played in this upcoming edition. I am really hoping to capture as many of the 38 sports as possible.
Why is sports photography one of my favorite genres ?
Capturing extremely fleeting & rare moments successfully and at the same time recording that moment in history provides the biggest thrill & sense of satisfaction a photographer can experience for example this shot of Joseph Schooling on his way to victory in the Butterfly event during the 28th SEA Games.

The opportunity to capture unseen or not commonly seen scenes like this Backstroke swimmer emerging and about to break the water surface tension again offers that special sense of satisfaction.

The opportunity to be immersed in the sports experience live is another big thrill.

I am definitely pumped and looking forward to the upcoming Kuala Lumpur Games which will be held from the 19th to 30th August 2017. So follow my blog as I share my upcoming sports photography experiences in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
